Northwest Florida Handles First Timers Bishop State
Noertwest Florida and Tournament rookie, Bishop State, battled it out in the late game Sunday. NW is making their 12th trip in last 15 years, and 15th overall.
Bishop State (17-16) didn’t back down from the 3 time Champion Raiders, but eventually ran out of gas, losing 83-75.
NWF held a 3 point advantage at half, 33-26. But the Raiders, led by Braylon Roman’s game high 26 points, gained control in the second, and settled for the 8 point win.
Largest margin was 17 with 10 minutes to go. Raiders led all but 18 seconds of the game, although Bishop fought to the end.
The Wildcats shot topper was Tasheim Gary who finished with 21.
Next up for the Raiders is #6 Seed Vincennes University on Tuesday, March 24 when they battle at 8:00.
