Eagles Are Golden As They Fly Past The Thunderbirds

New Mexico JC only led for :49 of their round of 16 game with College of Southern Idaho, but hung around long enough to keep their hopes alive. 

Trailing by as many as 16 with 9 to go, the Thunderbirds climbed to with four a couple of times late, but got no closer.

CSI (32-2) gets the win and a date in the Quarterfinals on Wednesday via their 73-66 victory.

Ace Reser ended with game high 28 and teammate Jaylen Lyn tossed in 23. Ben Thornrue nabbed game high 13 rebounds. 

NMJC got 23 from RJ Nance and 13 from Michael Mackey in the loss. Their season ends at 27-7.

The Golden Eagles will match up with the Walters State CC/Midland College winner on the 25th at 2:30.
