Tallahassee Rally Over Dodge City Earns Semifinal Berth
March 23, 2023 (Hutchinson, KS) – After his 48 point output in Wednesday’s second round overtime victory over Dodge City CC 94-93, Tallahassee’s Malachi Davis pumped in another 33 to propel the #12 seed Eagles to a quarterfinal win vs. #13 seed Dodge City CC, 75-69.
Tally was behind for most of the first half, and the Eagles trailed 37-33 at refreshment time. Staying consistent, TCC was down at half in both previous tourney games before rallying and getting the win. So, in other words…the Eagles had Dodge City exactly where they wanted them.
The win puts Tallahassee into the semifinals Friday night at 5:00 vs. the #1 seed John A. Logan College.
In support of Davis’ 33, other Eagles (31-5) in double figures were: Okechukwu Okeke with 11 and Tom Mark with 10.
Leading the way for Dodge City was Jason Edwards who popped for 19. DJ Jones added 14 and Chris Robinson finished with 13. Dodge ended with a record of 25-10. Jacobi Sebock found his way to game high 10 rebounds.
