Walters State Senators Still Get To Dance

#10 Walters State CC (31-1) makes it 22-10 for tenth seed teams since single elimination format change in 2013, and 9-4 over the 23rd seed teams.

The Senators topple #23 South Georgia State College to set up a date with #7 Midland College Tuesday, March 24 at 2:30.

WSCC led 45-38 and finished up 93-84 winners. Walters crushed the Hawks 42-25 on the glass, led for 37:40 minutes of the game, but largest lead was only ten which came at the 5:31 mark in the first half.

SGSC (23-14) got 21 points and 10 rebounds from Jeremy Andrews and 19 by Chandler Thomas.

Walters State made 60% of their FGs compared to 41% for the Hawks. Taquez Butler topped four double digit performers for WSCC with 22 points. Carter Webb drained 17, Brian Carter went for 15, and Da’Mori Lytch ended with 13.
