Brunswick’s Late Charge Comes Up Short

(Hutchinson, KS – March 21, 2026) – Brunswick trailed by as many as 16 before making a big run late in the second half. The Dolphins took the lead and lead by as many as 5 with just under 5 minutes remaining.

Brunswick put up 45 to Gulf Coast’s 31 in the second half to eventually send the game to OT.

In the overtime, the Commodores outscored Brunswick 8-5 and will advance to the second round surviving 82-79, GCSC will take on #3 Indian Hills CC at 8:00 in the round of sixteen on Monday, March 23.

Alius Bowser had game high 30 to support Brunswick (28-6). Linwood Rowe finished with 20.

For the winners, Trent Lincoln nailed 25. He was followed Iyran Francis’ double double 19 points/15 rebounds. Devontes Cobbs totaled 18.
