Dodge City Conqs Meridian With Huge Second Half

March 20, 2023 (Hutchinson, KS) – #13 Seed Dodge City CC and #20 Meridian CC faced off in game 5 of the NJCAA Men’s DI National Tournament. Dodge led by three at the break, 30-27. but outscored the Eagles 53-36 in the fianl stanza to waltz into the Sweet Sixteen and a date with #4 seed Moberly Area CC on Wednesday at Noon.

Dodge shot 51% in the 2nd half (45% for the game) to Meridian’s 35% for the game to put the game away.

Jason Edwards topped all scorers to lead the Conquistadors with 26 points. Tuscan Onuoha added 11 and Shawn Warrior had 10. Warrior also nabbed game high 10 rebounds.

Christian Terrell went for 24 for the Eagles, the only player to reach double figures.

DCCC dominated the boards to the tune of 56-30, and doubled up their opponent 52-26 on points in the paint.
