District Championships 2025

JHS will continually monitor all of the District Championship schedules and results and update them on this page in as close to real time as possible.

This is not complete. Not all of the tournament schedules have been set or released due to remaining games in regular season. As more info is made available, this site will be updated.

WEST (Regions 1 & 18)

The West District Championship will be a one game playoff hosted by the Region 18 Champs in odd years and the Region 1 Champs in even years.

REGION 1: All Tournament games will be played at the home site of the higher seeded team. All Times MT.

There are seven Division I teams who compete in the ACCAC. The top 4 teams in the final conference standings (with tie-breakers) will participate in the Region Championship and be seeded according to that order.

REGION 18:

Tournament will run Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8. All games will be played at site of SWAC regular season Champion. There are six teams who compete in Region 18, but only the top four teams in final standings of the Scenic West Athletic Conference will participate. All Times MT.

The South Central District will be played March 12-15 in the beautiful, state-of-the-art Rougher Village Arena on the campus of Muskogee High School in Muskogee, OK. There are nine teams competing in Region 2. Only the top 8 will participate in the District Tournament. All times are CT.

SOUTHWEST (Region 5)

REGION 5: The tournament will be held on March 12, 14, and 15 in the Highlands Gym, McLennan College, Waco, TX

Region 5 is made up of 2 conferences; the Western Junior College Athletic Conference (WJCAC) and the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference (NTJCAC). Post-season tournament site includes both men and women’s games. Even years, the men get the late start times.

REGION 6 – The Plains District Championship (KJCCC) will run March 8, 11, 14 & 15. The Top 4 seeds from the Jayhawk Conference final standings will receive first round byes. First round and quarterfinals will be played at site of higher seeds. Semifinals and Finals will be played in Gross Memorial Coliseum, Fort Hays State University, Hays, KS. APPALACHIAN (Region 7)

REGION 7 – The Appalachian District is made up of the 11 teams in the TCCAA and the Championship will run March 7-11. Dyersburg State paused their season after 9 games and will not participate in the championship. Therefore, the other ten teams will compete and will be seeded according to the final TCCAA standings. All games will be played at Vertie Sails Gymnasium, Southwest Tennessee CC, Memphis, TN All times are CT.

SOUTH ATLANTIC (Region 8)

REGION 8 – The South Atlantic District Championship will run March 13 – 15 in Raider Arena, Northwest Florida State College, Niceville, FL.

The Region combined 3 conferences into two last year. The old Panhandle, with 5 teams, remained in tact. The new Citrus Conference merged the Southern and Central Conferences, and has 9 teams.

The top 2 teams in the final standings from the Panhandle are auto qualified for the FCSAA State Tournament, a single elimination event in which the winner gets an automatic berth in the NJCAA National Tournament. The same goes for the top 5 finishers in the Citrus. The final team is determined by a one game playoff between the 3rd place team from the Panhandle and the 6th place finisher from the Citrus. NORTHWEST PLAINS (Region 9)

The Northwest Plains District Championship will run March 13-15 with first round games to be played on Saturday, March 8.

The Region is divided into two sub-regions. The two sub-regions are:
North: Casper College, Central Wyoming College, Eastern Wyoming College, Gillette College, Laramie County CC, Northwest College (WY), & Western Wyoming College.
South: Lamar CC, McCook CC, Northeastern JC (CO), North Platte CC, Otero College, Trinidad State College, & Western Nebraska CC.

The first round of the Region 9 tournament will be played at the home sites. The top team from the South and North sub-regions will receive first round byes. The winners of remaining first round games will advance and play the remainder of the tournament at the site of the sub-region hosting the tournament. In odd number years the North Division highest seed remaining hosts. In even years, it’s the South’s turn.

After the first-round games are concluded, the remainder of the tournament will be re-seeded with the highest seed from each sub-region paired with the lowest seed from the opposite sub-region.

North Division #1 Seed Gillette College (27-3); South Division #1 Seed Trinidad State College (15-14). Both teams receive first round byes. The Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Championship will be hosted by Gillette College, the North Division overall #1 Seed.

Only the top 6 teams in the final ACCC standings will participate in the Championship. The top 2 teams will receive byes. All time are CT.

GULF (Region 23)

The Gulf District is made up of the 15 schools in the Mississippi Association of Community College Conference (MACCC) otherwise known as Region 23, plus the three teams in the Louisiana Community College Athletic Conference (LCCAC) – Delgado, Southern University-Shreveport and Baton Rouge CC.

The District Tournament will be played March 6, 10, 12 & 13. Twelve teams will compete, including the top 8 teams from the final MACCC standings, the Louisiana Champion, and 3 at-large teams based on the Massey rankings (at least in the past). The top four seeds receive a bye.

Baton Rouge CC is the LCCAC Champion.

All first round, and quarterfinal games will be played at higher seed home court. The Final Four will be held March 12 & 13 on A.B. Howard Gymnasium, Jones College, Ellisville, MS (the overall #1 seed).
